7” Industrial Touch Display per Applicazioni Indoor e Outdoor

Designing a single monitor for different applications means finding the right balance between flexibility, reliability and ease of integration. For this project, KF has developed a 7″ display platform capable of adapting to both indoor and outdoor environments, offering a compact, robust and configurable solution for ticketing, payment and cash management systems.

The need

In sectors such as ticketing, parking payment systems and cash management machines, versatility is a fundamental requirement. Applications can range from service interfaces integrated into complex machines to systems installed in outdoor environments exposed to environmental conditions and daily wear.

For this project, the client was looking for a compact, complete and easily integrable solution, capable of adapting to different application contexts while maintaining reliability, ease of installation and a complete structure.

The solution

KF developed a 7’’ industrial monitor featuring a compact ABS structure, customizable with the client’s logo and designed to adapt to different application scenarios.

The solution integrates a 7’’ TFT display with 300 cd/m² brightness, 1024×600 resolution and an extended operating range from -10°C to +70°C, combined with a 1.1 mm touch glass.

For outdoor applications, the monitor can be equipped with a high-brightness 1000 cd/m² TFT, replacing the standard panel and improving readability even in strong ambient lighting conditions.

Thanks to the bonding between the TFT panel and the touch screen, the system achieves IK08 mechanical resistance, making it suitable for installations in environments exposed to possible vandalism or intensive use.

The monitor is equipped with an AD Board featuring HDMI and VGA video interfaces, while the touch connection is provided via USB-A. The OSD menu integrated into the rear cover allows simple management of the main display settings.

The side mounting points allow immediate integration into the host system while ensuring proper grounding of the device.

The challenge

The objective was to develop a versatile industrial monitor capable of meeting the needs of multiple sectors and applications through a single hardware platform.

The solution had to offer compact dimensions, simplified integration and the possibility of being configured for both indoor use and outdoor applications, while ensuring mechanical robustness and long-term reliability.
