KF NEXT: Digital Transition for Advanced Electronics Manufacturing

KF S.r.l. Società Benefit, a Modena-based company specialising in the design and production of industrial monitors and custom display solutions for integration into complex systems, has launched the project “KF NEXT: Digital Transition for Advanced Electronics Manufacturing”.

Project objectives

The project aims to strengthen the company’s competitiveness through the adoption of advanced digital technologies, particularly in the in-house production of industrial monitors. The planned measures include:

  • the introduction of an industrial 3D printer for rapid prototyping, reducing product development times and costs;
  • the adoption of business intelligence dashboards (production KPI monitoring) for quality control and process traceability;
  • the implementation of artificial intelligence tools to support marketing and administrative activities;
  • the strengthening of the company’s IT infrastructure and cybersecurity;
  • specialist consultancy and training to transfer digital skills to in-house staff.

Expected results

The project will enable KF to raise its level of digital maturity (according to the Acatech scale), optimise internal and supply chain production processes, reduce waste and response times, and strengthen the company’s competitive positioning in highly regulated technical markets (e.g. medical, railway, advanced industrial automation), while contributing to the digital and environmental sustainability of the production system.

Funding received

Project carried out under the ERDF ROP Emilia-Romagna 2021/2027 – Action 1.2.3 “Support for the digitalisation of enterprises, including system-wide digital initiatives” — Call for the Digital Transition of Emilia-Romagna Enterprises (2025), co-funded by the European Union.
