15.6” Touch Display con Privacy Filter Integrato per Sistemi Self Check-Out
Ensuring the confidentiality of information without compromising integration, usability and reliability is an increasingly important challenge in self-checkout systems and cash management applications. For this project, KF has developed a 15.6” industrial monitor with an integrated privacy filter, designed to protect displayed data and simplify integration within self-service systems dedicated to the retail sector.

The need
In the retail sector, self-checkout and cash management applications require reliable interfaces capable of ensuring the confidentiality of the information displayed during the most sensitive operations.
For this project, the client was looking for a complete and easily integrable solution that could be used both inside and outside its systems. The monitor had to combine compact dimensions, ease of installation, build quality and privacy protection for the end user.
The solution
KF developed a 15.6” table-top industrial monitor specifically designed for indoor applications dedicated to self-checkout and money management systems.
The solution integrates a 15.6” TFT display with 400 cd/m² brightness and an operating range from -10°C to +50°C, combined with a 2 mm touch glass. The distinctive feature of the project is the integration of a privacy filter directly between the touch panel and the TFT, a configuration that limits the lateral visibility of the screen and allows users to carry out confidential operations in complete security.
The monitor structure consists of an ABS front frame and a black anodized aluminum housing, designed to provide robustness and easy integration within the retail environment.
To ensure maximum installation flexibility, the monitor is equipped with VESA mounts, allowing it to be installed both inside the machine and in external configurations.
The monitor is equipped with an AD Board featuring HDMI and VGA video interfaces, while the touch connection is provided via USB-A. The OSD menu integrated into the rear cover allows simple management of the main display settings.

The objective was to develop a table-top monitor ready for integration, capable of adapting to different machine configurations and ensuring maximum confidentiality during payment and cash management operations.
The solution also had to provide a robust structure and a versatile mounting system to simplify integration activities.
