KF and DHL GoGreen Plus: Sustainability Across the Supply Chain

Sustainability Doesn’t Stop at Production

When we talk about corporate sustainability, attention often focuses on production processes, energy consumption or resource management.

But a product’s impact begins before it reaches the production line and continues even after it leaves the facility.

For Key Future, this means considering logistics and international transportation as part of its journey towards greater sustainability.

Transporting While Reducing Impact

Throughout 2025, KF’s international air shipments made through the DHL GoGreen Plus service used Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), an alternative fuel designed to reduce emissions associated with air transport.

The reported result was 3.89 tonnes of COâ‚‚e avoided, corresponding to an 8.94% reduction compared with the standard service.

The figure was independently verified by a third-party auditor, providing external validation of the reported impact.

Why Logistics Is Part of a Sustainability Strategy

For a company operating in an international market, the movement of components and products represents an important part of the value chain.

Raw materials and components need to reach the facility, while finished products must be delivered to customers across different countries.

Reducing the impact associated with these movements therefore means taking action on a tangible part of the supply chain.

The choice of lower-emission logistics solutions is part of KF’s sustainability journey as a Benefit Corporation and B Corp-certified company, where impact is assessed across the organisation as a whole, rather than focusing solely on the production process.

One Step at a Time

There is no single action capable of making a supply chain sustainable.

Instead, sustainability is built through a combination of decisions: some concern production, others energy, mobility, materials or logistics.

For KF, choosing a transportation solution that helps reduce emissions represents another step in this direction.

Because sustainability is not only about where we want to go.

It is also about how we choose to get there.
