For Key Future, sustainability is not simply a set of targets to achieve or indicators to monitor. It is an approach that involves people, working environments and the way the company operates every day.
From choosing local products for shared spaces to initiatives focused on employee well-being, as well as projects supporting the environment, many different actions contribute to building a more conscious corporate culture.
Key Future’s B Corp Journey
In 2023, Key Future became B Corp certified, a recognition of the company’s commitment to meeting high standards of social and environmental impact, transparency and accountability.
Being a B Corp means considering the impact of business activities not only in economic terms, but also in relation to people, communities and the environment.
For KF, this journey translates into concrete initiatives covering different aspects of corporate life.
These include:
- promoting people’s well-being through dedicated initiatives and activities;
- using fresh, locally sourced products in company spaces;
- mindfulness programmes and activities focused on employee well-being;
- introducing electric company vehicles;
- solidarity initiatives and support for international projects;
- days dedicated to collecting waste in the Modena area.
ISO 14001: A Structured Approach to the Environment
In 2024, KF’s sustainability journey was further strengthened by obtaining ISO 14001 certification, the international standard for environmental management systems.
The certification enables the company to adopt a structured approach to managing its environmental aspects, identifying areas for action and working towards the continuous improvement of its environmental performance.
B Corp and ISO 14001 therefore represent two complementary elements of a journey that combines responsibility, management and continuous improvement.
Looking Ahead: Goals for the Future
For KF, sustainability does not end with a certification.
The journey continues through concrete objectives, including renewing its certifications, reducing its carbon footprint through the use of electric company vehicles, completing the photovoltaic system and introducing new sustainable solutions in shared spaces.
The goal is to continue reducing the company’s environmental impact while creating a working environment that is increasingly attentive to people and the local community.
A Commitment That Is Also Measured Through Small Actions
Sustainability is not only about major investments.
